Overview
About Me
We (that is - me and my friend Johannes) are two guys from Germany who have just graduated from school. During that short period of freedom, we want to do an backpacking Interrail journey all around the heart of Europe for one month in June/July. We've been buddies since our earliest childhood memories.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We hope to meet locals who can show us around town a bit and tell us a few insiders' tips that are not part of the typical tourist schedule or those that are must-sees (museums, sights, social spots etc.).
All the people on here make such a nice and welcoming impression. It'd be a pleasure to get to know cultural differences and similarities as well as friends, and share some stories. And learn new languages! We would like to taste a beer in each country :D
Interests
Jonas is a strong supporter of Veganism and animal rights. He also does a lot of fitness, which causes him to sometimes have five meals a day. These passions make for his proficient vegan cooking skills.
Johannes is an avid music lover - in terms of both listening and making. Each year, we pick a few concerts and festivals to go to. For example, Rock am Ring kicks off right before our trip, so we're hoping not to lose too much stuff there or get all too injured (again). Also he is interested in languages and likes to learn as much as he can. Would like to learn more cooking so he won't have to starve at university.
We both share an interest in philosophy, politics and history, and - rather inadvertently - get frequently entangled in discussions on those. Those are also main topics of our reading interests. Whenever there is a demonstration nearby that we can support with good conscience, we hesitate not to attend.
Maybe we even find someone to talk about their studies of chemistry, politics, law, linguistics, teaching and the like to get a better image of what study courses we want to pursue.
