Hey, my name is Jonas, I'm 24 years old and currently studying English and educatinal science to become a teacher at Bielefeld University. I grew up and stayed in Bielefeld my whole life, except for one year in which a worked as an au pair in the Netherlands.
I love getting to know new people, making music with friends and playing Quidditch (#BielefelderBasilisken).
Beside my studies, I am working with handicapped people, giving tutoring lessons to pupils and volunteer in my local YMCA (which does not mean that I am a religious person! :-D)

I am an open-minded person who would love to show you around Bielefeld, if you would like me to, or have interesting conversations or a beer in the evening. (But of course, you could also just rest and relax :-D )

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I like the possibility to explore Europe and other parts of the world without relying heavily on savings. As a student, I am chronically 'poor' and can therefore understand other people in similar situations. I like the idea of couchsurfing because no one should be limited by his/her financial situation when it comes to opening his/her own horizon: And travelling and getting to know new people is the key element for that purpose.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I have lived in Naarden-Bussum (NL) for one year a got to know so many lovely people. I kid of fell in love with the Dutch way of living and like to visit Amsterdam as often as possible.

My next country crush is Namibia, where I spent a month volunteering and travelling around. That's the reason why Toto's 'Africa' give me an even more intense chill than the song actually does :-D
