About Me

Traveller, scientist, environmental activist. I find my place in the world by looking around, and trying to preserve what we have. Understanding nature, and enjoying nature, are likely my main aims in life :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling is a great way of learning and getting to know people is the heart of traveling. Without meeting new openminded people many things we realize, many great situations and just enjoyable discussions will never happen.

Couchsurfing also gives us the option to connect, to network and to promote the idea of sharing. A community based on exchange of values and ideas, that is the idea of couchsurfing and what I believe , on a larger scale, our society should be like.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
Most things except for electro, techno, Hip Hop. However especially rock, folk and more alternative things. No special preferences though as it depends on my mood.

Books:
Many are good, not sure what my favorite is, that depends on the mood. But good ones are:
Animal farm - G. Orwell
1984 - G. Orwell
How to kill a mocking bird - Lee
Huis clos - JP Sartre

Movies:
I don't watch many, but in enjoy documentaries and small scale productions.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiked from Oslo to the North Cape,

Skated on Rideau canal (Ottawa) at - 41°C and biked for 36km (1h30) in the winter of Montréal at ~ -35°C.

Lived in a construction trailer by the Wadden sea in Germany for 7 months, I admit, during the summer.
