Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My first ever solo trip started in 2018 in Peru (and I've enjoyed it A LOT!).. unfortunately tho I've only been checking in to hostels or camping in the wilderness (which isn't all too bad either ;) ), as I hadn't been aware of the idea of Couchsurfing at the time. This meant that- (despite the landscape and the weather of course) many things felt quite familiar: meeting mostly Europeans and Americans - I didn't exactly get a culture shock and I also didn't practice my Spanish very much.... It suddenly appeared to me I should give couchsurfing a try now!

Since then I've surfed around half the world and made soulmates all over. Let me assure you, even when you step into someone's door for the 20th time, it's still the same old excitement and joy when you're welcomed warmheartedly! It's amazing how, no matter where you are, people genuinely welcome you into their homes and lives.

i get those more thoughtful days where i either exclusively listen to berlin style techno like paul kalkbrenner or peaceful music (like matt simons) all day, different times would consist of more rocky happy music mixes i more often than not create myself

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

watching a seemingly never ending chain of headlights, like fireflies in the dark, crawl their way up the Piton de Neiges volcano on Reunion island in the very early morning, feeling the first warming rays of the morning sun on my freezing skin a few minutes later while having a phenomenal view of the entire island from up there... i really fell in love with it
