Hey, I'm Jonas from Germany! I recently travelled to Canada with the working holiday visa and I'm super excited about meeting local people to lean more about the culture and the people in Canada. I just finished my Master Degree in December 2023, about a month ago I started my adventure in Canada. Already meet a lot of amazing people here and saw a lot of the beautiful nature Canada has to offer.

My next bigger adventure will be the West Coast trail on Vancouver Island. After that, I will go on a road trip through the Rockies after that all the way to Toronto to do the Bruce Trail in the Bruce Peninsula Provincial Park.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people, share activities, and have a place to stay when I'm not sleeping in my car. (I bring my own sleeping pad and a sleeping bag).

I'm listening to a lot of singer-songwriter music and also some hip-hop, my favourite artists are John Mayer, Passenger, Hoodie Allen, Connor Price
I really liked The Witcher, Stranger Things, Black Mirror and Mandalorian
Actually, I don't read that much, but what I really loved reading is the German book "Fräulein Draußen", it's about long distance hiking and discovering nature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Wild camping on a lake in Sweden, and there was nobody on this lake. It was such a calming evening and enjoyed it so much being in nature having a fire and some good food.

I try to get better at French at the moment
At the moment (when I have time) I build an app to plan multi-day hikes even better
