About Me
ABOUT ME
I'd describe myself as boring, narrow-minded, unintelligent, mean, tiring, brusque, grumpy,... of course not. Who would do so here?
I guess I'm relaxed, I can get along with many different types of people and still I tend to take my time to establish a real friendship even with those I believe to be on the same wavelength with. However I can be quite outgoing, I'm always enjoying life and I'm alway eager to get to know new places and new ideas. I'm curious and attentive, I try to be fair to everybody.
PHILOSOPHY
well - as I'm part-time philosopher I guess I shouldn't just come up with some flat ideology for my life here. So how about some book recommendations instead: read Aristotle, get familiar with some skeptic ideas and then proceed with any of the more modern philosophers :) Warning: You will get more tolerant with respect to opposing opinions!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
During my trip to Canada I surfed some couches and I always loved it. Every host had something special which made me keep my visits in good memory. Of course the experience gets more intense, the longer you stay at one place and the more you are able to share time with your host. The stay I enjoyed most was in Quebec at Emmanuels place - He and his flatmates made us immediately feel as though we had always been living with them and I am still impressed how naturally they shared their time with couchsurfers.
Interests
I love to make music: I've got an own band ("RasgaRasga" - some gipsy-style-world-music-whatever-type band) with which I play a lot of live shows at festivals etc. And I also enjoy playing classical music in orchestras.
Besides I'm very interested in my fields of study, both physics and philosophy. So I'm a quite serious student ;)
I love having a good time and a cool beer with my friends.. and if you're lucky you might even find me somewhere in a club dancing - but that's actually getting rarer.
What I wouldn't want to miss is hiking and mountain-biking - I always enjoy being outside and especially exploring the mountains.
And obviously I like traveling - getting to know new places, new people, new cultures and ideas. That's one of the reasons I'm here for.
