About Me

I consider myself as a young, open-minded and curious person with strong disposition to humor. At the same time, I love good, rational but passionate discussions to bring together different views from different standpoints. Preferable, I'd like to do this with a glass of good red wine in my hand or during a long, extensive walk through fields, woods or mountains, although the latter are quite seldom in Frankfurt... Apart from that I have a passion for vegetarian kitchen.
I am working in ancient history so I travel around the Mediterranean quite regularly and enjoy the climate, culture and kitchen of the south quite a lot.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to get into touch with people when going to another place. Natural curiosity, I guess.

Music, Movies, and Books

My musical taste has become a bit more broad during the last years. Originally coming from 80s punk rock, nowadays I go a lot for a good old Rock 'n' Roll, nice bluesy sounds or jazz-like Music, and lately aswell for more traditional music styles like Klezmer or the south Italian Taranta.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2022, I was fortunate to attend an artistic spectacle with a subsequent Taranta concert in the small town of Gombola in the middle of the green, woody Apennine hills. I have seldomly if never experienced such a lifely place before and have felt such an energy coming from within the people. Great! I will never forget that day and night.

Teach, Learn, Share

I always like to share a good joke with someone and I can try to teach some German to whoever is insane enough (no guarantee of success, though! ;-) )
Apart from that, I am always happy to help with little reparations in the house, like with doors, windows, the kitchen or other kind of furnitures.
I ike to cook very much, so I would be happy to provide some nice dinner to who would host me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Finally living in my own flat.
So I can offer accomodation (Sofa max. 2 people, + a comfortable air mattress) and everything else in my flat, kitchen, bathroom etc.

I usually come back late from work but on weekends I love to go out, talk, visit a concert or do some hiking. I can show you some nice bars around or go to a museum around. Interests in archaeology appreaceated ;-)
