Hi, I am a 21-year old half dane half brit. Currently I am studying humanities at Roskilde university and I am studying journalism and social Sciences next year! I love learning new things and am a great fan of history and languages! I love speaking and learning new languages and am always interested in the origin of words and phrases and the connections between languages that share the same roots! I speak English, Danish, French and some russian!

Interests

I have a lot of interest, but chief among them is languages. I find it super interesting to learn new ones as well as read about old ones. I especially like etymology, finding the origin of words, for example the word window comes from old norse and is actually called vindaugr (windeye) and the word fenster (window in german) comes from latin and is present in many languages like german, french and swedish. I also like playing and listening to music. I play in an amateur classical trio with my brother and mother (viola, violin and cello). Besides that I also play guitar and a little piano. I also do sports and love tennis and am just starting to get the hang of golf. Besides that i enjoy tasting craft beers and eating good food (of which there is no short supply of, in Denmark). Oh and i also love history!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently bought a 50-year old sailboat with my brother and we are now learning to sail it with all the perils that come with it! One day I am hoping to sail across the Atlantic!

Oh and i wrote a french childrens’ book!
