ABOUT ME
"I am a self-conscious college teacher traveling and living around the world. I have a terrible sense of direction, but enjoy the challenge of taking on a new city/surroundings. I am very much in denial about my hipster-ness. I have one dimple that makes girls swoon (apparently) and I love speaking foreign languages with foreigners more than talking with friends in my mother tongue. Americans are my favorite people, but I’m also happy to meet people from anywhere. "
Thank you Amelie for summing me up.
PHILOSOPHY
The function of prayer is not to influence God, but rather to change the nature of the one who prays. -Soren Kierkegaard
To learn is to change.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Because of my job I get to travel around the world and experience different cultures(I've lived in the US, Thailand, Poland and now Italy). But meanwhile, my traveling doesn't keep me in one place for long(Normally,I'm assigned to teach in a different country each year)
Though I move a lot and I'm not quite settled yet, I usually rent in a cozy apt wherever I go and I'm looking forward to sharing it with cool and responsible surfers as often as I can.
Personally I had benefited a lot from couch surfing when I was younger. Always wanted to return the favor and now I've got a decent job, it is time for me to contribute to the others.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had couchsurfed in lots european cities when I was a student and none of the experience has been disappointing. Along my travels, I met quite a few cool people and some of them became really close friends to me.
I believe couch surfing is a great way to meet people and experience different cultures as the locals normally know better of their cities than some random tour books. Though I can afford to stay in hotels/hostels now, I still prefer to couch surf with people whenever I travel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I got into a very bad car accident while I was teaching at Bangkok. I was almost killed from it but I survived. I spent nights alone in a foreign country by myself and I made it through. I thank god for giving me a second chance to live and after this event, I realized how much life means to someone and how important it is to make everyday counts.
