ABOUT ME

Originally from Bremen. After i had finished my master in business engineering I travelled for a year through Europe and Asia. I started to call myself a slow backpacker as i prefer to stay longer in a place than most backpackers. Now im back in Germany but not in Bremen as I moved to Heidelberg for my new job. I'm working fulltime for a non-profit ecological research institute. I'm mainly involved in product life cycle assessments for national and international companies and governments (LCA's, carbon footprints, greenhouse gas reporting...). My big hobby that i discovered during my year abroad is photography. I'm also a very passionate boulderer/climber.

I can offer one proper guest bed and an additional second matress on the floor next to it, so should be fine for two or couples!

WHY DO I HOST COUCHSURFER?

After travelling for one year I like to bring some internationality into my home as I have now less time to travel the world. Furthermore, I think it is a great way to support people who travel on a budget!

Interests

I love to travel around the world without any detailed plans. I like to meet other travellers, locals and the feeling of "lost in translation". Im a passionated hobby photographer (street&travel) and climber/boulderer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked through the jungle, swam at empty tropical beaches...

Hiked in the Scottish highlands and visited the Scottish islands.
Kayaked the swedish lakes in Dalsland.

Climbed over a fence of the Louvre at night to take a great photo (the security guys were not that happy...)

Explored a former nuclear bunker on the boarder of Croatia and Bosnia (lost place)
