About Me

CURRENT MISSION

South Africa by bike!

ABOUT ME

I think of myself as a spontaneous, funny and caring guy. A lot of people might use those words so I'll try to make some examples :)
Spontaneous: I woke up one morning and felt that I should make a break in my university studies, buy a bicycle, and bike my way to South Africa. So that is what I did.
Funny and Caring: Once I baked a cake for a radio host in a national radio show in Sweden. I read on Wikipedia that it was his birthday, went there and knocked on their door (they have the studio in Gothenburg where I lived). The whole event got aired live.
I think that I am a hippie kind of spirit. I get lost, get found, end up in strange places, don't plan ahead even though maybe I should. Life could be easier with planning but I prefer taking the day as it comes and take things that might come up with tranquility and a smile.

PHILOSOPHY

Get born and live the shit out of it. The end.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just getting started and have no previous experiences... but hope that my journey will be enriched with loads of good meetings with happy people along the way!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not couchsurfed at many places yet, but it has been a really nice experience so far.
One of the best times so far has been when José showed me a jar of lingonberrys preserved raw, and I told him that we have to make some swedish meatballs. We did and they just blew my mind straight back home. It was delicious! :D

One of the worst experiences so far must be the food poisoning I got together with my sister when couchsurfing at her place. I won't eat uncooked tofu for quite some time, I think.

Interests

I find technology quite amusing actually...I like Lego and picking various apparatus apart, just to look at what's inside (some sacrifices has been made moahaha). I have also done some "internal investigations" of computers, and that certainly has its charm -I've learned quite a lot by doing :). At the moment I am learning about bicycles in a practical sense.
I also have this side of me that is really curious about other people. I like just looking at people, or go out with random people just to see where I might end up. I am a positive guy that blend with most people.
Furthermore I like cooking but can't say that I am very good at it in particular haha, need some more practice I guess.
There is of course a lot of other things I enjoy, too many to be listed here.

  • dining
  • cooking
  • technology
  • cycling
  • hitchhiking

Music, Movies, and Books

I really enjoy Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Things that happends in my everyday-life. Like the one time I baked a cake to a radiohost i like on his birthday and went to the Swedish Radio-house and delivered it when they where broadcasting live.
I also went to Paris barefooted and got thrown out of Louvren :) (went back though after I had bought myself a pair of flip-flopps...but I only did it for Mona-Lisa :P).
Hitchhiking in New Zealand was also quite a story which I would love to tell you about if we ever would meet!

Countries I’ve Visited

Denmark, Germany, Greece, New Zealand, Norway, Turkey, United Kingdom
