About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make lemonade out of a US visa denial

ABOUT ME

I lived in the US for three years but ran into immigration issues when I started a small business. I had to leave and decided to travel for a while.

I'll spend a half year all over SE Asia. Since fate forced my hand here, I didn't have much time to plan anything and I'm making my trip up as I go. The following is for sure(-ish) though

March 3rd: Bangalore, then Mumbai and New Delhi
???
March 27th: Holi in New Delhi
???
April 13th: Songkran in Chiang Mai
??? Travel overland through Thailand or Myanmar
... the rest is completely open

Will definitely visit Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and Myanmar after April.

I'm travelling alone but happy to meet up with fellow travelers or take a detour or change my entire trip around. I'm up for pretty much anything (unless it's getting wasted and driving a motorcycle down a steep slope)

PHILOSOPHY

Working on it

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Sadly I currently can't host because I don't even have a home, per se. I'm happy to meet up with anyone though :) And if anyone is travelling to San Francisco or Munich, I can probably hook them up with a couch at my friends' as well

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed on a stranger's couch a few times in San Diego and New York but never via Couchsurfing. Everywhere I lived (Berkeley, SF, Munich), my roommates and me would often host friends of friends if they asked, but that wasn't on this website either.

Interests

I like meeting new people and trying new things. I'm fascinated how what people consider "normal" or true really is just what they happened to have grown up with.

I'm particularly interested in "my generation" all over the world and how access to knowledge (via the internet) and travel affects them.
