About Me

Lately, there are many people who requested to stay with me, but Unfortunately they didn't read my profile at all. I'm sorry I stay in JOHOR not in KUALA LUMPUR. But if you come to JOHOR, I'm glad if I can host you!.

I'm Jonas from Pontian, Johor, Malaysia which is near to Singapore. I am a primary school teacher who love children very much. During school holidays break, myself and my friend (Mohd Saiful Nor Siman, please kindly check his profile,he is a good man, he hosts other surfers as well ) will always travel together in backpacker style around the world.

I'm here to meet new people who have the same interest of traveling. I'm here to share and promote my country to the others. If you are interested to know more about Malaysia, you are welcome. One thing, I believe in Karma! If You help people out, people will help You back! And of course, if you visit to my place, I'm glad to be your host and guide you for FREE if I'm available.

I read every single profile before I requesting to stay and meet up with the host just because I want to know better with the host. I'm not a copy cat to text.

I won't upset if you decline my request to stay with you but I will just sad that I will lose a good friend just like you!

Another thing I found out on CS, some of the hosts don't even reply or just declined the requests. That's fine, but at least you tell the reasons to the surfers. I consider this way is very RUDE or NO MANNERS! Halo guys, we stay in a CIVILIZED world! Frankly speaking!, If you don't know MANNERS, I can teach you FREE. Just simply reply " NO" won't take you too much time! We all understand why you don't host the person if you reply "NO".

I'm Host and Surfer at the same time. I will be 100% reply to those message to me! You don't need to host or request if you want to know me better or build a good friendship. You can always send me message at here.

Last but not least, I appreciate those who read and replied my messages politely and those who do not I will thank you too. Thank you! 谢谢!Arigato gozaimasu! Terima kasih!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Even though I was on CS for more than 2 years but I always treat myself as a beginner and new because I seldom to use this platform as my travel way.

CS is just another platform for me to get closer with local people, learn their languages, cultures, food, customs, stories and their beauty of countries as well. And of course, I hope to share my country which is multiracial to the others. I'm always open my arms for you!

I hope to get as many as possible Sincere, Honest, Friendly and Good hearted people to be friends. And I know I did and had few of them. I need more!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

2016 - Cycled around in Ang Kor Wat for 3 days about 60km with my buddy and a Japanese guy - Yossi. That was really crazy and tired but great!

2018 - Drove cars and van around North and South NZ with other 7 friends in June winter time. Very impressive trip.

More to go with you!
I will put our photos together in the couch gallery to keep our sweet memories! This is what I appreciate my Hosts!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach : I can share not to teach my country languages. If I teach, I teach and give lesson to those No Manners people.

Learn : I learn how to love, appreciate and be grateful. I learn languages if you can teach me a little.

Share : I share what I have to all nice people. Sharing is Caring. But just don't take granted.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm an independent guy who can easily adapt to the environment change.
I am clean and neat.
I talk much when you know me better.
I'm fun, understanding and friendly too!
As a return to stay at your place, I will bring souvenirs from Malaysia to you to show my sincerity and I will take good care of your place either I clean your place or wash your dirt dishes. I'm a good cleaner.lol. And one more thing I bring food from Malaysia and we can share it together. That would be instant Malaysia local food.
