ABOUT ME

Antwerp is my hometown, the city I love and also a part of my job for I am journalist at a local newspaper, called Gazet van Antwerpen. Consequently, I can allow to say that I know my city a bit.
Where do I need to be for the most tastefull coffee? Where can I eat delicious sushi? Where are the nice parties? Which museum do I definitely have to visit?... I can give you advice to all these questions, though I can't guarantee that our tastes match ;)

PHILOSOPHY

Travelling ought to be obligatory for everyone. It's the best way to broaden your view on the world, others ànd yourself.
Consequently it's the best medicine against negativism.

Myself, I went couchsurfing when I was in de United States en Canada. I never had negative experciences.

For I am a journalist, I am a very curious kind of guy and I constantly want to be updated about what's going on in the world. Nearby, as well as farther away. I have wide interests, for instance (local and international) politics, music & movies, sport,...
I'm also an active sportsman. Regularly I go running and swimming, I play volleyball in a team and our table tennis room in our house is getting used daily :)

I've been to lots of places in my life. My favourite way of travelling is walking with the backpack in mountains and desolated places. For instance I went hiking in the French Pyrenees, Corsica, Slovenia, Poland, Slovakia, The scottish highlands,...
There's little more fascinating than hiking for a week or so and afterwards recover in an intersting city.
I also had superior holidays in the States, Canada and Namibia.
