I am a 28 year old PhD student in politics from Hamburg, Germany. After some detours and living in Brazil, Costa Rica and extensive traveling (Latin America, India, Europe) and volunteering, I ended up studying in the UK. First PPS (Politics, Psychology and Sociology) at the University at Cambridge, later a Masters in Latin American Studies and now a DPhil in Politics at the University of Oxford.

I am an easygoing, funloving and surprisingly unpunctual German, who tries out whatever comes his way. I am an avid festival-goer but also put on my black tie at times. I live and breathe football but also any good discussion about politics. I am super into and remember random facts but sometimes forget where I left my keys. I am somewhat of an athlete but also love a good book. My politics are leftwing but I also wear a ring with my family crest on it. A living contradiction, but isn't the whole world one as well?

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Couchsurfed in Canada and the US back in 09 and had some of the weirdest and best encounters on the road doing it. So thought I come back and see how things have changed in the interim. Haven't been on Couchsurfing in ages but nonetheless have hosted friends from all over the world whereever I am at the moment.
