Über mich
Hello, hola, cześć and other such international greetings. I'm Jonathan, but I guess you already know that! I’m a (kiltless) Scotsman (though I can wear one if you’d like 😉) with a background in Education, Counselling and Social Work. Presently I’m lucky enough to be realising a lifelong dream of visiting Canada, the birth place of Celine Dion and possibly the second most beautiful country in the world after Scotland 😜
These days I’m trying to not write the script of my life. Let’s see how far it takes me!
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
When I was eight years old my dad bought me an atlas. I studied that atlas, I scoured every page, I memorised flags, capital cities, land masses...(damn, maybe I am autistic😜) but most of all I fantasied about seeing all of theses places. However ,blockades like being broke, being an adult and having responsibilities and such has meant that it’s only in the last few years that I’ve been able to start to make these dreams reality. CS seems to be a place where people transcend these barriers. CS seems to be for people who value experiences or things. I like that, a lot. Also I feel like there could be hummus along the way. I like hummus a lot too.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
Learned how to spell and pronounce the word 'beetle' in Polish. It's really hard- no seriously look➡️ chrząszcz. Told ya! Now I bet you're impressed.
*this is my greatest sole achievement after 2.5 years living in Poland.
Lehren, lernen, teilen
I can most certainly share with you a plethora of absolutely pointless (and often verging on inane) facts, accumulated over a lifetime of being a semi-autistic geek. Did you know that the collective noun for owls is parliament? No ya do! *I should verify that I am actually not autistic. I just like facts, ok.
Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann
Currently not much as I share a room in whistler. I’m aspiring to have my own room, but anyone living in whistler will tell you, that’s quite a task. But don’t worry, when I move onto bigger and better things (and hopefully rooms) you’ll first on my list ;)
Länder, die ich besucht habe
Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine
