Long story short, I'm on a personal growth journey and I'm enjoying all the new experiences I've encountered so far, and I want to experience much more. Through connecting with people, traveling to new places, eating different types and kinds of foods, dancing unique dances, singing elaborate songs,...just experiencing life from all over!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

About 4 or 5 years ago, back when I was living in Alaska (when I was on active duty orders), my friend/roommate met a backpacker who came to town and needed a place to stay. He offered him the couch and informed me about it afterward, but I didn't mind too much since I was working overnight anyways. From what my friend told me, he turned out to be an awesome guy and they had great conversations and such. Really felt like I missed out on an experience.

Another friend of mine recently informed me about this couchsurfing app and I was curious to see what it is all about. Also wanted to redeem the missed experience I didn't get to be a part of.

There's a wide range in all 3 of these so it's best to ask specifically. But as for:

Music: I like all genres, as long as the beat/melody is catchy, I'll invest in it.

Books: inspirational/motivational self help books, but I do love me some fantasy, adventure, mystery and many other genres as well

Movies: a guilty pleasure of mine is watching the lowest star ratings on
Netflix. It's always good for a laugh, but sometimes you'll be surprised!

If it's just one, I would have to say hiking in the mountains of Alaska and drinking straight out of the river! Fun times

I'm not a certified teacher or anything, but I do know everyone can learn something from anyone they encounter, so I'm sure there's something I can impact you with.

I can share stories. I'm a natural storyteller (not to be mistaken as a liar). I can share experiences or just have fun making up stories about certain topics. (I have nieces and a nephew so this skill came in handy keeping them occupied)

As for learning, I'd love to learn how to reach and impact more people in a positive way!
