Overview
About Me
Hi, my name is Jonathan. I'm an Engineering student at Lamar University in Beaumont, Tx.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Summer is just around the corner and I've accepted a position with an Engineering Company in Houston. I'm looking for a place to crash this summer. Tentatively from May through mid to late August. I'm scheduled to start work May 19, 2015 (Next Tuesday). I understand that this is an extended stay and I'm willing compensate on an agreed amount. I don't mind helping out around the house also.
Interests
I'm an open-minded individual and my interest vary accordingly. I'm really a big fan of the art scene here in Houston. I believe there's a lot of great things happening and so many interesting people. The Menil is one of my favorite museums. I frequent many coffee shops, you might catch me at Agora, Poison girl or Antidote. I don't go out much but when I do I like going to Barbarella's, sometimes boheme for drink. I really enjoy a good whiskey and I'm also a fan of red wine. On a typical Friday I might catch a movie, catch up on some sleep, or catch up with friends. It just depends on what the night calls for.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm really big into music. I can listen to anything from classical to Rap. I listen to a lot of bands also. I really like Pink floyd, The knife, The cure, ..etc. Check out my playlist https://play.spotify.com/user/12100097813
Movies:
Some of my favorite movies include pulp fiction, City of God, Django unchained. I like a lot of foreign films also.
Books:
Most of the books I read are academic but I do enjoy reading lots of articles online and books in Spanish.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I wouldn't call it amazing but one time I saved a guy from drowning in sea of foam at south beach. If you've ever been to a foam party and had that stuff completely go over your head like I have ( I'm short at 5'5) then you'd know that it feels exactly like drowning. It's impossible to breath. I guess I was at the right place at the right time.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm really good at math. I'm also pretty proficient at Spanish. I could teach you a few words.
