About Me
Curiosity. People, cultures fascinate me. Always staying curious, always keeping an open mind.
I'm unable to stand still, I always look for new angles, new ways to look at myself, at the people I met and the places where they live.
That's part of who I am. I was born in France and left the country when I was 18, and went to the University in Marburg (Germany). There I studied musicology, history of art, cinema and literature, went one year in Erasmus in Valencia (Spain), had a lot of experiences with theater in both countries, and the stage became my passion. I finished my studies here in February 2015, then I went to Lyon to a theater school, and here I am, a professional Actor and Clown!
As you probably got it, I'm active in the artistic field :) CLOWNING :P, playing theater, directing, photography, playing music (guitar, banjo, piano, harmonica, singing) ... I don't put myself borders in this domain, I'm opened to everything: There is always A LOT to learn, and not only in arts. Education has become one of pillars of my everyday reflexion and I intend to combinate both of these interests, Art and Education, especially for those who don't have access to none of both.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm always curious to know new people I would never meet if I exclusively stayed in my daily life routine (my life moves so fast these days so that I almost don't have any routine left, but you know what I mean :D).
When I'm travelling I'm not so much interested in the buildings and landscapes ; the important thing to me are the people who live there. People make of the place where they live a living, fascinating one.
Interests
Clown, theater, music, popular education, juggling, laughing, talking, writing, travelling, meditation, photography, cinema, dancing, literature, arts, politics, ...
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: (almost) everything there is ;) Celtic, classic, Prog Rock, Jazz, Electroswing, fado, flamenco, blues, rap, ... I'm opened to every music that isn't written just for money!
Films: Same logic!
Literature: Same logic!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
During my Erasmus in Valencia (Spain), I participated during a year in a project called Escena Erasmus. It's organised by the University of Valencia and the valencian theater group CRIT: 20 students of all sorts of european countries (France, Spain, Italy, Rumania, Germany ...) come together to play theater. A workshop of a few months is followed by representations in the theater in Valencia, and in the summer you get to bring the show to the little towns of the beautiful valencian countryside, to people who don't have access to arts and cultural diversity. Besides being very professional, it's also a lot of fun and the best experience I made so far. You learn to know yourself and the others, to forget the frontiers between all these nationalities: you learn that a lot of these frontiers are in our heads, that language is only a convention and that we're all humans with the same emotions, hopes and fears.
Teach, Learn, Share
I always carry a notebook with me to write down stories or anecdotes from the people I met: you'll probably end up in it. I can tell you stories as well from myself or from the people I've met, but also teach you a few things on the guitar or in photography!
What I Can Share with Hosts
A place to stay for a few days, without stress or problems ;) If I'm not too busy working, I'm always in for a drink, a concert, anything. If needed, I can show you around the city or give you advices about where to go and what to do !
