About Me

I'm from Port-au-Prince, Haiti. I spent 8 years studying in the Dominican Republic. I'm fluent in English, French, Haitian Creole and Spanish.

I'm now living in Haiti and working as a full-time Engineer. Whenever I'm not working I do some local tourism (Haiti is not what the media shows to the world) we have some of the best beaches, mountains and waterfalls in the Caribbean. I like to travel, meet new people, sharing stories and cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The hardest thing I encounter is finding places to stay along journeys. My home is open, I want to introduce Haiti to the world and share cultures. As a guest or a host, I'd always feel proud to promote and represent Haiti to my fellow couchsurfers!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm relatively new to Couchsurfing, I have not host anyone yet, hopefully I will soon. I enjoy good conversations in general, I like real, genuine conversations.

I live out of the city, up in the mountains, I am also available to show my guests around only during weekends due to work hours!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am a fast learner. I learned English mostly from watching TV as a child. I learned Spanish a year before starting college in Dominican Republic, ended up getting a BS degree and a Masters degree there.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach Creole, French, English, Spanish. I was a part time language teacher while studying in college! Share the Haitian Culture, the food, the music, the art and people. Learn about other cultures.

What I Can Share with Hosts

The beauty of my country! I can share my Haitian culture! I will tell you about our history, on how we became the first black nation to get their independence. Teach you words in creole, tell you about the real Haiti, not what the media put out.
