About Me
I'm a traveller who is in love with the jungle! I am trying to live in Latin America permanently. I love connecting with nature and sharing with people. I love sharing stories and exploring the surrounding nature, going to local gatherings, yoga, temazcal (native sweat lodge), organic agriculture and living a more simple, slower life and trying to maintain community. You are welcome to visit my Instagram @manoes_surfing
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I feel it is sad that it is so expensive to visit Costa Rica, especially such a beautiful place like this cloud forest, accommodation is very expensive. I am actually starting my own hostel and plan to make it affordable for other backpackers. I love sharing and conversation, and I also am just happy for someone to come and enjoy the nature here, it has been very healing for me and it would make me happy if it helped somebody

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was 16 I was at the beach in Cape Town and I saw a couple of whales close to shore so I decided to paddle to them on my surfboard. It turns out they were much further than I realized, at least a kilometer in deep water, but I got very close to them. I wouldn't do it again, it was kind of crazy!
