I'm Jono, a med student from the UK. I grew up between Zimbabwe and England, so have always loved travelling and experiencing new cultures. I also work part-time for a tutoring start-up, I love education and tutoring kids gives me a lot of inspiration. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the couchsurfing community and have had some amazing experiences. I have been humbled by people's generosity, inspired by their stories, and blown away by how much fun I've had. Human interactions can be transient, but with a long lasting impact.

Music, Movies, and Books

I tend to love anything dystopian (Orwell, Huxley, Burgess) and film wise I love Kubrick, del Toro, Iñárritu and Wes Anderson. My music taste is pretty eclectic, but I have weakness for 80s synthpop and scandipop.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A highlight was a research project I conducted in rural India looking at the disproportionate burden of leprosy and other Neglected Tropical disease on women and girls. I think transforming healthcare policy can have ubiquitous impacts and is something I'm super passionate about.
