About Me

Now.......Left England in April 2019 to emigrate to Australia after getting permanent residency woo, spent 7 months travelling around Nepal, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Patagonia before touching down here in December. Bought a camper, finding my feet, enjoying the summer and working out where I want to be, currently in Melbourne.

Favorite Quote (from a Fortune cookie)
‘You don’t have to know where you’re going to be traveling in the right direction’
I was born on Friday 13th
I like red wine and beer.
I’m a mechanic.
I love the actual transport part of travel, bus trips, (longest was 36 hours in Brazil) boats, flying, motorbikes, road trips, etc
I believe in karma
I want to see and explore as much of the world as I can (and eat everything)
I love the sun and being outside
I love animals, (dogs, horses)
I love food, although am more aware than I used to be about the effects of eating a kilo of cheese. I like to (try to) balance what I eat now and am pretty active.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Sometimes travelling, especially solo and when staying in places for a short period of time it’s good to have a way of connecting with people so you’re not so ‘solo’....for food, sharing experiences, beers, laughs and helping to make everywhere feel a little more like home. Locals know best!
I’m yet to crash with anyone, just been to some meets.
I’d like to host in the future when I reach my destination although it will probably be a a van :)

Interests

The standard....meeting new people! Travel! Food! Snowboarding, hiking, diving, mountain biking, obsessively watching box sets
I’d like to make this year (this was the 2019 list) of travelling an accomplished one, physical and mental challenges.....so I have a ‘to do’ list - hike Everest base camp (tick), samba in Brazil (I salsa’d in Colombia), cooking class in every country (I did one in Nepal and Colombia 🤷🏻‍♂️), learn a language (Spanish in progress) learn to climb (I climbed in Colombia but they didn’t have shoes big enough for me so that was a fail), learn an instrument, the list goes on.......
