About Me

Hi! I am a college graduate (2017) who has transitioned from restaurant work to sales, and am trying to become a software developer. I can tell you more about that, but let's just say if I already had my job, below is more about what I'd be doing.

I would like to exercise more (weights, personal trainer) and perhaps take up BJJ again to get a blue belt. I would like to play some more guitar, perhaps practice comedy for open mics or record myself singing then go up and have fun. I am a fan of the Joe Rogan and Kill Tony podcasts, am interested in politics but don't know enough to be considered a pundit, expert, or too married to any one point of view.

I love talking!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Level 3 of Holberton School applications, and right now the only way I can attend the school is if I luck out big with couch surfing. I'm not currently at that point in my life where I'm well-to-do enough to go "Let's take a year off and travel, then have some people stay at my place so they can travel." This, beyond the great experienc and adventure I yearn for, would solely be so I could attend a school full-time while not working or having money beyond food.

I'm trying to find a place that could offer a couch, shower, and if lucky, washer/drier. I am hopeful but also realistic about my expectations, but my current roommate has had a few couchsurfers who were all legit stay at our place, so I thought I'd check it out - just in case somebody could help me make my dream come true!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I fought twice in amateur caged fighting... and lost both times! Still had major fun. Made LOTS of other things easier

Teach, Learn, Share

Looking for a couch, shower, and washer/drier. I am going to be going to school full-time and can probably buy enough grocery gift cards to be good for the first ten months, but the only reason why I want to couch surf is so I can attend this school. Can't do it completely homeless.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you entry level HTML and CSS, but I am trying to go to school and learn JavaScript as well as other programming languages and aspects.

If you let me stay at your place for the 9-month cohort (starting early September) I will teach you everything!

I also would like to learn more about, hmm, guitar (but not that much, it's a seasonal interest), political science/theory, sociology (how can we make this world better for people? ), maybe even app development, anything Jeff Buckley

I can share with you kindness and the ability to follow a recipe. I can share with you... myself!
