Hi! I'm Jonathan, and I love languages almost more than life itself. I grew up in Tennessee and Massachusetts. I'm currently a PhD student in human genetics. Every year I travel to Guatemala to help out at a clinic. I’ve lived mostly in the US but also India and Jordan.

In undergrad I majored in Middle Eastern Studies and I am really looking forward to meeting people from all over the world. I believe in the ultimate goodness of humanity and I want to be a part of dialogue for peace and solutions.

I follow American and world politics pretty avidly so we can have a good conversation about that. Love to discuss my genetics research. I'm a decent singer/ guitar player so I can entertain you with that if you ask nicely :)

I am at least conversational in all of the languages that I’ve listed above- Spanish, Portuguese (fluent), arabic, hindi, urdu, french (intermediate). I love having conversations in all of these languages and I can teach you some phrases if you’re interested.
