About Me

I'm a tall, lanky fellow (6'5 or 1.96m). I'm introverted but sociable, have a sense of humor, and am easy to get along with! I've recently come home from traveling New York to California, going where the wind saw fit to take me in between.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because it's turned out to be one of the best ways to go on a traveling adventure. To travel on a budget and meet cool people over a solid network of cool people, why wouldn't I be here? It's helped me improve my social skills, and I've met people of different perspectives I would never have otherwise.

Interests

I have a strong interest in what makes people think and behave the way they do. I'm in the market for book suggestions that people feel made a difference for them. I'm superb with computers—I can tear laptops apart for cleaning and repairing practically blindfolded! I'm also fond of tweaking and modding Android phones. My guilty pleasure food is nachos (with ALL the queso), and I enjoy stout beers (know any good pubs?). I also enjoy cooking for myself and others, and I aim to please even the healthiest of nuts! :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Back to the Future, Star Wars, Kung Fury, Monty Python films, Rick and Morty, Big Mouth, Stranger Things, and more!
I'm only just starting to get into reading again, but so far some top book picks are Orwell's 1984, The Blank Slate by Steven Pinker, and Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky.
For music, I'm good with a wide range (comfort zone is soft jazz and 60s-80s rock), and my favorite musical artist is "Weird Al" Yankovic.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got kicked out of two countries in one day. (Ask me about it!)

Teach, Learn, Share

By learning about oneself, one learns whom he wishes to become—the journey of self-discovery is also one of self-invention.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a good cook (and a quality dishwasher afterwards). I endeavor to have meaningful conversation and encourage laughter. Story exchanges are a must. Plus, if you have a computer or laptop that could use some professional-grade cleaning and tuning, I have a background in computer repair and servicing, so let me at it! If you have pets, rest assured they will get extra love from me :)
