About Me
I completed my Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology in 2015 and worked for one year in the American Insurance Industry. I am traveling right now to learn from other people in the world and grow as much as possible. I am a very easy going, relaxed and open person. I enjoy one on one conversations and really getting to know people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm really new to couchsurfing and heard a lot about it so I decided to try it out!
After working for one year, I realized that I wanted to have the chance to explore the world while I was young and gain a better understanding of people, as well as myself. I realized that I needed to get out of my comfort zone and gain exposure to varied perspectives, which was not always provided in a formal education. In response, I left my job, packed a travel backpack and bought a one way flight to Hanoi at the end of this past August.
I have always been interested in people, which is why I majored in Psychology. I wanted to truly get an understanding of different cultures and people from across the world. I wanted to gain a greater understanding of myself by trying to understand other people. So far, I have found it amazing how people can live very differently but have the same shared thoughts, passions, dreams and perspectives. I am looking to continue to grow by meeting some great people!
Currently, I am in Ha Giang Vietnam volunteering as an English teacher. I am finding the experience very rewarding!
