About Me

I love, LOVE meeting new people around the world, and have met fabulous people as an International Mentor in my school at Vancouver, BC, and became really good friends with some. I've also used Couchsurfing while I was in Europe and met really cool people from all over the world and I'm happy to show you my beautiful city, Vancouver, as a local!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to meet new people from all over the world, and I think couch surfing is a fantastic way to meet like-minded people who have the intent to learn from each other and explore other cultures. I had a fantastic experience using Couchsurfing on my solo trip in Europe in 2019, and although I didn't do actual 'couch surfing' (staying with a host), I was able to meet so many other like-minded folks through groups or connections and do so many fun, amazing things I never would have imagined doing if I just went myself!

Music, Movies, and Books

Recently got into Vietnamese and Brazilian music thanks to my friends. I also love kpop and indie music! A fav of mines is Bahamas - a Canadian gem that's incredibly talented. I'm very open to listening to different kinds of music from all over the world!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travel:
Got burned out at work, decided to quit, and then spontaneously booked a solo trip to Europe in 2019. Was the absolute freakin BEST time of my life! It totally threw me out of my comfort zone and there sure was a lot of spontaneity, which resulted in countless memorable experiences. I learned an incredible amount and adopted a mantra I live with to this day: "be in the present moment."

Non-Travel:
Mental health advocate! I think mental health awareness is so so important and no matter where you are in the world, what you do, who you are, taking care of your mental health is important. I was a panelist and spoke to my Province's Minister of Advanced Education and also attended Canada's largest youth-led mental health conference, Jack Summit.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a pupil of the world and strongly believe in learning through connections. I love to hear your stories of you and your country, and I too can share you mines!

What I Can Share with Hosts

My enthusiasm and joy in exploring what your city has to offer! Even if I've been to a city before, there's always so much rich history, culture, places, arts, etc. I've still yet to discover. I'm still often a tourist in my own city!

Cambodia, France, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Portugal, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, United States
