I want to see the true spirit of a city by meeting it's people and not seeing tourists 24/7.

Quentin Tarantino! Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings (both the movies and the books, fight me). The Harry Potter Book Series is also really good in my opinion.
I'm not going to pretend I know a lot of philosophical books just to seem interesting. I read for fun :)
Although I do enjoy nature documentaries and deep movies like "Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind"
