My name is Jonathan and I was born and raised in a German city called Bonn.
Now I am 23 years old and on my way back after my travels. I tried my luck by studieng Geography and History in the beautiful town of Heidelberg in the south of Germany but after two years studieng less than more, I decided to explore the world and started within three weeks my travels in Bali, Indonesia. From there I made may way through Southeast Asia and after 6 months I was supposed to go back home. But I changed my mind, applied for the work and holiday visa in Australia and within a week I was there. First culturalshocked of being back in a western society but then I escaped into the Nature and deepened my connection to her. That's the reason why I was not couchsurfing at all in Australia. I avoided the cities and camped where ever I was. But now it's time for me to enjoy the city life again, because I'm going home to Germany into a big city for a few months. And maybe I even get settled and be finally able to host some of you beautiful people.

So if I had to describe myself, I would say that I am a calm and open minded person. I love adventures and the unexpected. Being spontaneous is a big part of my personality. I love to make plans, but I don't allow myself to get attached to them, as they always can change. I try to live as much as possible in the present, appreciating every moment.
A big passion of mine is the poi dance. It is meditation, letting go of emotions and expression of my feelings to me.
I like to combine poi and yoga to keep my body and spirit as healthy as possible.
Music is a big part of that as well. I need it to get fully into the dance with the poi and I love to discover new and good music. If it's psytrance, classical, electronic or alternative or what ever, it doesn't really matter to me. Good music is good music and it can be from every different genre, that is my opinion :D
Good food is very important to me, because I am very sensitive to any kind of chemicals in it. But of course every now and then I get weak and got some chips or chocolate or something.
I love to create beautiful meals by improvising with the few ingredients I had during my travels and sometimes I surprised myself by making some amazing food out of nothing.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I am on couch surfing because I love to share what ever I have. Sometimes it is just me and my experience and stories. I had beautiful hosts in Asia, but then I stayed more on the country side, where couch surfing was not really popular. Now as I'm going home and maybe get settled for a while, it would be lovely to give something back in sharing a shelter and food as I received a lot during my travels.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Music to me is like riding a wave, I love to dance, spinning poi to it or just sitting there, enjoying and dive into it. There is no specific genre I'm listening to. You can show me everything from classical to jazz to psytrance, I could like it all :)

Books, like the Alchimist or the Medicus are books which inspired me a lot on my journey.

The most amazing thing I've done, is to have started walking this path wich im still on . To be in this body in this world and to take care about and appreciate all of it as much as I can.
