Overview
About Me
Right now I'm currently a graduate student at Xavier University in Cincinnati while working at the school full time. I live in a small apartment complex near campus. I'm pretty laid back so if anyone is a passer by that has a fun story feel free to drop on by for a night or two to have a drink and maybe explore the city.
I'm a huge backpacker so if anyone is up for a hike feel free to message me!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Since I'm studied in Japan spring/summer of last year I got to travel through many parts of northern/central Japan. During the late spring I got climb a lot of the mountains west of Tokyo and I got to network out with a few people that told me a few mountains to explore while I'm out there.
In the future, I'd like to explore a lot of Nagano in the summer time. Lots of hiking but I really want to explore and see new places! I'm also trying to dodge expensive costs for hotels so meeting other people that open up their home for a day would fantastic!
I wanted to branch out and try to host anyone that is looking for a place to stay for the evening. Most people don't really stay too long in the Queens City but it's a good pit stop to the eastern US.
Interests
I've developed a fluency with Japanese over these past few years and I wanted to improve these skills through everyday communication. I always am fascinated with bilingual people ever since I studied abroad and got to meet a lot of different international students that could speak a lot of different languages.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
Almost everything. Changes here and there but Jpop, smooth jazz, techno and bluegrass never get old for me.
Movies:
5 Centimeters Per Second, My Neighbor Totoro, and Guardians of the Galaxy
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Walked 30 miles in one day with a 5 inch laceration on my left leg in the middle of the northern mountains of New Mexico to get it patched up. Man I got an earful from the clinic once I got off the trail .
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach:
I'd love to practice my English with other people! I'm shy at first but usually I ramble and tell fun jokes that keep conversations lively! Anyone wants to go for a hike and learn how to use map and compass, start a campfire, plan for a trip I'd love to help!
Learn:
Japanese and other peoples culture and stories! Everyone has an individual story that they live by so it's always fun to get to meet other people!
Share:
Cooking Skills. From my summer job working in the southwestern america I've picked up some experience with spicy dinners and also baking pies/cakes/cheesecakes random but cooking always leaves someone with a smile!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can help with chores around the house if there is work to be done. I can help compensate for my visit if they provide food and a space on the floor for me to sleep.
