About Me
Note- I'm starting at Oxford in October so I can accept guests from then. My schedule will likely be hectic so can't confirm anything solidly. If you're planning ahead give me a request and I might be able to help you out!
I'm an English guy who loves all things about travelling; new experiences, new cultures, new foods and most importantly wonderful like minded people! I love talking to people from different places and ages because each one has such a different and interesting perspective. It teaches me so much and I can't get enough of it. I just graduated from doing a Master's in Chemistry in England and will be starting a PhD in Oxford about making solar panels in October. I am back from 6 months of travel and am looking forward to returning the generosity the world has given me by hosting!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
While I'm on the road it's the best way to visit a place. You get to know local people who have the couch surfing mentality and each experience is unique and enlightening. It is like the hitchhiking of accommodation. Obviously there is the benefit of saving money but the real reason I do both is because you meet such kind, generous people and you have no idea how the day is going to go when you choose to do them which excites me.
When I am home I will definitely become a host and return the hospitality I have received and will get joy spreading generosity to strangers and embracing the couchsurfing spirit!
Interests
Sustainable building, cooking, basketball, beer brewing, guitar, wood work. I love making stuff with my hands and sharing the results with friends!
