About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn, to travel, and to meet as many awesome people as possible!

ABOUT ME

I am a Friendly Quaker, an actor, a singer, a dancer, and a student of the world--what has it to teach me? Moving to the Boston area in August and need a few nights to crash on couches. Love to get lost in cityscapes, take long walks through historic areas, and explore what the area has to offer. Lover of craft beer and espresso!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Need a few nights to crash with new friends while I'm figuring out my living situation in Boston.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living as a homeless individual for three days with a friend in Washington D.C., this experience led me to grasp what it feels like to be completely outside of everyday life, to feel what it is like to be treated as if I were unequal to those who were housed, and had the chance to look inside of the lives of the huge homeless population in D.C.

During my time in Kingston, Jamaica, I had the chance to live with a family who had connections to some of the ghetto's in Jamaica. There, I peeked into a section of society which was and is ruled by the many gangs, ghetto's threatened by violence daily, where the people are constantly hungry, and ultimately living in despair.

Here in Munich, I visited Dachau just outside of the city. For me the topic of WWII and particularly the Concentration Camps, was a topic that I could never fully grasp until I stepped foot into Dachau. Once in Dachau, I then began to understand just how atrocious and humiliating the area was during Nazi occupation.
