ABOUT ME

I live and work as an engineer in Tucson, Arizona. I love traveling around the world and experiencing new cultures and learning new languages. I also love sports and enjoy hiking, especially around Arizona.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Originally intended on using couchsurfing for a trip I made to Europe(summer 2012), but it didn't work out. I hosted about 10 different surfers from different countries from my apartment in Newport, RI in the summer of 2013.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted several times up to this point and I've had some great experiences.
I had my first surfing experience as a guest in Strasbourg, France in the winter of 2017 and it was excellent.

Interests

I really enjoy watching and participating in sporting events. My favorite sports are baseball, football, basketball, and soccer. I also enjoy running and have run one marathon and several half marathons around the US. I love traveling and learning about history and different cultures. I received my BA in German as an undergrad, so my German proficiency is fairly good. Also, I like to read and help others when I have the opportunity.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy action, thrillers, comedies. But, I enjoy movies in general. I think the company I'm watching with is very important too. I like rap, country, pop, and rock music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I visited Europe once before in the summer of 2005 and again in the summer of 2012, as well as shorter trips between 2016-2020. I've been to about 10 different countries in Europe including France, Germany, and Italy.

I've run 5 organized half marathons and a full marathon
