About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To dicover Europe and beyond through my tongue, eating and drinking every new thing in sight.
ABOUT ME
(deep breathe) I define myself by what I do, and how I treat people. I try to be as fair as possible, and see the other side of the situation, even if I don't agree or like it. I live for myself, and my enjoyment of life, to the best of my ability, while trying my best not to hold grudges or pronounce to much judgement on other people's choices.
I can be pretty talkative when the mood suits me, especially when it comes to pub philosophy, but I am mostly quite and observational most of the time. I enjoy hearing the pros and cons of where and how other people live, in order to appreciate my own situation better.
I'm pretty easy to get along with, but if I don't like a person, I just ignore them. I'm comfortable conversing in just about any subject, because I'm eager to learn about passion and expertise.
Of course, my favorite thing to talk about are food and food history. Cultures are very much defined by food and drink, because everyone shares it. It's the best way to endure yourself to someone, is to love their food as much as they do.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
For the next year or so, we are looking to surf. We saved for over a year, getting ready for this trip, and we are living inexpensively but well for as long as possible, traveling from Lisbon, through Spain, soon to Ireland, Italy and possible Turkey and Greece. But once we go home, or find jobs somewhere that allow us to stay somewhere really awesome for a while, we will definitely host.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None yet!! But we are looking to change that soon. We have been using another site, called helpx.net, in order to arrange farmstays. Basically, we work a few hours a day in exchange for room and board. It's great for long term stays, but I think couchsurfing will be more applicable to the in-between times.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I helped changed my younger brother's mind about joining the military, and becoming an Apache Helicopter pilot, by telling him that his number one job would be killing people. I told him there are much better ways for him to live.
