ABOUT ME
I'm a kiwi who ended up on the other side of the word. After traveling Europe for a year, I decided to make the move and settled in Amsterdam.
I enjoy meeting people and talking about life and experiences across countries and cultures. I also enjoy casual chats, not all conversations must be about the meaning of life :p.

For me traveling is not only about seeing sights but more about meeting people and having meaningful interactions because life is but a collection of memories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's a place where people meet and connect. I experience kindness when I travel and I am kind to those who come to where I live.

Interests

I can sometime be a little introverted and I enjoy many more relaxed things. But I'm always up for anything when the opportunity comes up. My philosophy is to try anything I can when I have the chance.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to all music and like different musics for different moods. Some reggae and dub for a chill summer day, country for a road trip, 90 s pop for karaoke, and hip hop/electro for parties.

Movies: Sin City, Lord of the Rings, Matrix, most Disney movies :p

Books: whatever I can get my hands on, usually fictions. My favourite book is 1984 by George Orwell

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Making the decision to quit, pack up, and leave on a one way ticket to Europe which turned out to be a 15 month trip abroad.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am an accountant by trade- if you want to learn about money and numbers then I am your man. Beside from that, I am a native Chinese speaker and I can tell you something about the language.
I am interested to learn anything that is on offer, it is one of the main reasons why I travel.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share stories and experiences I've had in life. I'm also interested in cooking although New Zealand cuisine is not the most exciting in the world.
I can also teach basic Chinese and some useful phrases and words.
