ABOUT ME

I'm a language fanatic, scientist, data junkie and all around curious person. Self employed, I live in Seattle with my wife, three kids and a big, beautiful dog. I don't have as much time for traveling, hiking, dancing, music etc. as I did before kids. But I occasionally travel for work and love to meet fellow travelers when I do.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm always searching for natural beauty and "real community" and happiest when I find it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

These days I'm only traveling alone when I'm on a work trip. Quite often I stay with friends or friends of friends but I don't know people everywhere. I'm hoping CouchSurfing will extend my network of friends to every city I visit.

On our end, we've always enjoyed housemates and visitors and hosted a Moroccan exchange student last year.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've climbed Mt. Rainier, Mt. Baker and Mt. Shuksan. (On separate days!)

Teach, Learn, Share

I play a little Irish mandolin and swing guitar and have taught several couple's dance classes (swing, waltz, salsa).
