About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To meet global travelers and to become one myself
ABOUT ME
I am from Lima, Peru but moved to the US when I was 13. I'm an open and friendly guy trying to live a good, balanced life. I've been living in/around DC forever and love it, but I stay away from all the competitiveness and power bullsh*t that thrives in this city. This couchsurfing thing has changed my life for the better and I'm trying to give some of that back. The more CSers I meet the more I confirm that regardless where we are from, we are all one and the same.
PHILOSOPHY
These things I believe:
Food tastes better when you cook it AND when you share it. You can teach someone to dance, but you can't teach someone to feel the music.
WE are nature; kill nature and you kill yourself.
Spiritualism more than religion.
Change is not always progress, and progress is not always change.
Democracy only works when those in the fringes are represented.
Success is often a vague pursuit, but the search for happiness is always fulfilling.
No one reads your CV at your funeral.
Your gut and your mom are always right.
Communication doesn't work without honesty.
Dream, and dream BIG!
The best gift you can give me is to teach me something.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I read about couchsurfing on the Washington Post, then met Sanjeev for coffee in DC, and partied with a bunch of couchsurfers in Pamplona in my summer '07 trip to Spain. I met amazing couchsurfers on my trips to Peru and Argentina. I've been hosting for some time now and find it an incredible experience.
