ABOUT ME

I'm a relaxed, open-minded, friendly kind of guy. I make an effort to learn from everyone I run into. The west coast is fairly new to me, though I've traveled through quite a bit of the union so far. Currently I'm about to begin studies at the Lane Aviation Academy in Eugene, OR. Whether you're interested in conversation, hanging out on the town, or just sharing in the adventure, I'm glad to meet as many fellow explorers as I can. KC&Cs.

PHILOSOPHY

When I studied my first desk globe, I realized just how little of the planet my experience accounted for. Many years have passed since then, and according to my traveler's journal, most of the world still remains uncharted. However, the awe that desk globe inspired in me, still remains today. I don't know if I'm the next Indian Jones, or Robinson Crusoe. But whatever the case, I knew when I looked over the lines on that globe, that I couldn't turn my back and ignore that so much else was there, just waiting to be explored. So I'm still exploring, and imagine I always will.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted some fellow couchsurfers, but haven't yet couchsurfed myself.

Intereses

I draw, write, and play a few instruments in my free-time (acoustic/electric guitar, piano). I'm also trying to learn French, but I'm a complete 'débutant'. A night on the town with a few drinks and good people is time well spent.

MUSIC: The Decemberists, Simon & Garfunkel, Oasis, everything really, and that one song about the baking soda.

MOVIES: The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, The Last Samurai, Fight Club, The Abyss, and Big Trouble in Little China (come on man, it's hilarious).

BOOKS: The Dream of Reason, Azincourt, Where the Green Once Was, The SAS Survival Guide, and The Gashlycrumb Tinies.

I'm really interested in other cultures and seeing the world through different perspectives.

The things I know well are: Wilderness Survival, Marksmanship and Firearms, Basic Guitar, Sketching, Digital Art, Writing, English, etc.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

The adventure of course! The thing that always stuck with the people I hosted were the memories that broke the daily monotony. Something I know I'll remember when I'm older; fellow travelers, who were always in one way or another, unique and inspiring.
