Hello! I would describe myself as someone chasing the carrot of life that dangles wherever I look.

I love to explore culture wherever I find it, whether that means, music, food, conversation, people, performances, art, or simply sitting in a coffee shop and watching the world turn.

I'm also an outdoor enthusiast from simple walks or bike rides through the forests to high adrenaline snowboarding and whitewater kayaking. I'm a deep appreciator of philosophical conversations, our place in the universe, the purpose of life, finding the beauty or joy in everything, and anything from which passion is derived.

A breath of air, or a sip from a cool stream are some of the deepest connections with the present moment.

I'm on Couchsurfing so I can submerge myself in whatever place and culture I find myself in. I love to try anything new, wild, and fascinating. I want to see how YOU view your place and home, and I hope that maybe we can share our perspectives and broaden our ideas of where we are.

Interests

I haven't really found much that doesn't excite me, so long as passion follows the introduction. I always have an open mind, and love when people share what interests them.

I find joy in almost all music, but I particularly love classic rock, jam bands, hip hop, Funk, alt-rock, & psychedelic rock. Some of my favorite bands are Fat Freddy's Drop, Led Zeppelin, The Tune Yards, The Shins, Leonard Cohen, Jimi Hendrix, J.J Cale, The Killers, Buddy Guy, Erykah Badu, The Roots, A Tribe Called Quest, Funkadelic, Sam Cooke, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I left for a spontaneous 20 day sea kayaking expedition on the Sea of Cortez in Baja, Mexico. We fished for food every day, relaxed on the secluded beaches, and snorkeled with the most beautiful sea creatures.

I find my teaching most comes from personal wisdom, which comes mostly from listening. I also have lots of knowledge about the outdoors if that is where we find ourselves!

I am ALWAYS interested in learning how to cook, create music, or make art.

I love to share my tastes in music or my poetry, and I enjoy when that is shared with me :)
