About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel and to meet the kind of interesting people i know are out there traveling too :) I think its a crazy world where there are entire cities full of spare rooms and empty couches yet hotels still thrive.

ABOUT ME

I am 25 yo and just finished as a student. I was recenetly studying in South Germany on an overseas semester and now travelling Europe and the world before i return to Australia.

I love to help out others who are travelling near any city i am living in. I believe we should take all the money that we would normally spend on hotel accomodation and buy wine and cheese for new people so we can drink it together over local food and talk about future adventures. I have travelled through Europe was i was yonger and spent 9 months living in Berlin studting at the Technische Universitat in 2010 having the time of my life.

I am relaxed and just love to meet new people and become part of their lives for a few days. I think we can all learn from each other and that life is more fun shared with new people for adventures and parties and discussing what do do in life.

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoyment in life and people is key. We should all try to contribute to society and the world where we can. Dont take the small things seriously and try not to let go of the big things that we want to make happen.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Normallyy, I have a 3 bedroom house i share with two girls in newcastle and we have a foldout couch in our loungeroom... it is ok but i suggest pulling the mattress out and putting it on the floor. If you are passing through and would like to stay i would be happy to have you and try and show you some sites/great cafes when i am not forced to be at uni.

At the moment i am away travelling and cant host

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am still relatively new to couchsurfing but have hosted and surfed a bunch of times now with some amazing people.

I originally joined because i met travellers when i was out and had them stay at my home... figured i should join up and do it properly.

I have also been lucky enough to have met great friends who have helped me live on their sturdy couches and floors when i have not had a place to call my own

Interests

I enjoy the beach and any outdoor activity in summer, i love to hide in great cafes with novels in the winter. I am partial to much fine wine and tasty gin and like to talk about any topic that doesnt really have an answer. I love to learn about foreign cultures and taste foreign food and while australia has no cuisine i am that happy with, i like to cook for strangers who cannot afford anything but noodles

Music, Movies, and Books

There is never enough time to read nor enough space to talk about books. I always wish i had more time to read but i love every classic i can get my hands on and anything though provoking or well written. The same goes for movies and music, anything that makes you think, that is new or well made is always good

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have lived in the australian desert working at the hotels near Ayers Rock/Uluru and seen a side of the australian people, culture and landscape that most never get to see. I saved my income from here to travel across the world for the first time.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a fiend for random pieces of trivia.... tell me some :)
