ABOUT ME
I grew up in the suburbs outside Baltimore. Lived in Baltimore most of my 20s working as a courier. Moved to New Orleans in 2015. Have been working as a musician until recently and have a part time job planting trees along city streets for a non-profit.
PHILOSOPHY
Wisdom is not a capacity, but an ability to find value and knowledge in all things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've only been a surfer. I would like to be again. I prefer it to using hotels or short term rentals because there's more interaction and meeting new people. The first, and only trip I used couchsurfing on I made some lifelong friends.
Now I am lucky enough to have an extra room in my apartment and would like to be of service to whomever needs a place to stay.
Interests
I spend a lot of time learning new instruments. Recently have taken up running and would like to travel and do some trail running. I don't mind the occasional wild night if I've got friends visiting, but don't typically go out partying much with my local friends. Prefer playing pool at the local bar.

Music, Movies, and Books
As a musician of the 21st century I really truly can get down with most styles of music. As a kid I liked RHCP, QOTSA, Fugazi, Outkast, Bone Thugz, Nirvana, lots of stuff. My 20s I listened to a lot of Stevie Wonder, motown, Bob Dylan, and other stuff. Nowadays, I've been listening to a lot of classical, and classic New Orleans music.
I like movies
I haven't read much in recent years but am starting to like biographies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The best hike was up a cloud-forest covered ancient-volcano and then down into the caldera where stands a freshwater lake and swimming in it.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a pretty good teacher, I have taught friends the following things:
How to play any number of musical instruments
How to cook any number of basic, cheap, delicious dishes
How to throw a football, swing a golf club, or shoot a basketball.
How to diagnose basic mechanical problems
How to start a fire, and fire safety
How to relax
and I know a lot of trivia
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'll do the dishes and leave everything else as I found it.
Countries I’ve Visited
