I'm 27 years old and just recently started working again after taking the trip I've always wanted to take: backpacking across South America for a year. Now I work semi-remotely as I road trip across the U.S.

I love the mission! Whether using it as a way to travel and meet the locals or bringing the world to you by hosting, I think Couchsurfing does a great service. It's my preferred way to travel now, bar none.

Intereses

I sang for 8 years in a cappella groups (think NBC's "Sing Off"), played in a band for another 2 years as singer and keyboard player, and love music in general. One of my favorite things to do is to hear a new song on the radio and then play it back on the piano. I have also picked up the guitar a bit over the past couple years and just learned the basic major and minor chords.

I enjoy being active in almost any way. Sports are fun and I play most of them, hiking is great, and any water based activities are always a blast. I'll put up a good challenge to just about anybody in a game of ping pong.

I'm also interested in learning just about any game. Board games, card games, video games--games are fun!

I'm always trying to improve myself. I'm really into reading self-help and positive psychology, and also am usually trying to learn a new skill at any given time.

Música, películas y libros

Music
Rock and funky jazz/soul are my favorite types of music, and I love playing whatever I hear on the radio on the piano. I also played in a funk band for the past three years as singer and keyboardist.

Movies
I love comedy and action. Jim Carrey, Will Farrell, and Matt Damon are some favorite actors for movies in general, but I'm also really into plain stand-up comedy. For me that's John Mulaney, Pete Holmes, Mike Birbiglia as my favorites right now.

Books
I read almost exclusively non-fiction. I'm really interested in personal growth, personal finance, social and positive psychology, and life hacking.

Algo increíble que he hecho

I spent a month as a monk in a Buddhist monastery in Taiwan which included a week of silent meditation. It was a part of the Woodenfish Foundation's Humanistic Buddhist Monastic Life Program (HBMLP). Since then I've also completed the 10 day Vipassana silent retreat.

I'm down for a jam session! I can sing, play piano (if there is one), and add some ad-hoc percussion.
