About Me

Temporary pause -- my life has gotten a bit busy right now and I feel really bad about all the earnest travelers whose requests I haven't been able to respond to in a timely fashion. I promise to resume hosting once I get back on top of my life again.

CURRENT MISSION

Increase the net happiness of the universe, connect with more people, and prepare for a bike trip across Europe.

ABOUT ME

I'm Jonathan. I think our planet is small and beautiful. I've seen a fair fraction of it, and I like the idea of enabling other young people to have the same kind of adventures that I've had. These days, I'm a reasonably successful engineer who was lucky enough to end up with a great home in San Francisco.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a great home that is too big for me, that I like to share from time to time. I love to cook, and I love to have people around to make cooking worthwhile. I love San Francisco, and showing guests my favorite things reminds me of why I'm lucky to live here.

Next year, I might travel across Europe, and it would be nice to have friends to meet again and have a drink with.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never couch surfed, but I want to be a good host and help people have great travel experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

I just started reading "Flights" by Olga Tokarczuk and I love the way it feels so far.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once spent a week spotting, catching, and tagging sea turtles at a small research station on an island off the coast of Belize.
