HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Willing to host people coming through visiting this region and happy to play tour guide as I can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Upon arriving in Amman I was hosted by several gracious individuals before locating an apartment. One was through couch surfing and the experience made me want to sign up. Most of my couch surfing experiences have been through a degree of separation- friend of a friend and so forth and not through a resource like this. I really enjoy connecting friends in different parts of the world. Several times a year I get calls or emails from people saying: I'm going to the Basque country, South America, or New Orleans- what can you tell me? Usually I can point them in the right direction and often get them a local "guide" and sometimes a place to crash. I've been the recipient of this kind of hospitality on several occasions as well and think it's the best way to see a place.
