About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To find true happiness

ABOUT ME

I'm a recent graduate from Georgia Tech (Go Yellow Jackets!), where I studied Industrial Engineering, Spanish, and Management.

Currently, I just finished my first year as a high school math teacher through the Teach for America program in eastern North Carolina. In addition to teaching, I was also the head coach for wrestling and next year I'll be the head coach for tennis and the assistant coach for swimming.

PHILOSOPHY

"The heart is the happiest when it beats for others."

Interests

I like to experience new things and I love to learn new skills! This means that I spend a LOT of my free time always working on some sort of project!

A sample of my favorite activities are:
- Cooking new dishes (I love fusion foods)
- Reading some Gabriel García Márquez
- Swing dancing or salsa-ing
- Being active outdoors and working out
- Archery
- Building pallet furnitures

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The one amazing thing that I experienced this past year was being at the graduation of my high school seniors at the conclusion of my first year of teaching. Seeing my students, that I've grown to known so well over the year, all look so happy, nervous, hopeful, and anxious at the same time, gave me a lot of different emotions. It was a very cathartic experience, that marked the end of a very difficult and life-changing year.
