About Me

------------------------------
Please read My Home section!!
------------------------------

I'm a Canadian guy who's decided to settle in Amsterdam for a bit with my girlfriend after a half-year traveling through Central America and hitchhiking around Europe (yeah, I really like the place!) But I'm definitely a traveller at heart, excited to meet and host others passing through this beautiful city.

Want to know what hitchhiking is like? We've just started a blog called Trail of Voices, it's a collection of stories from the people that we meet hitchhiking and couchsurfing. Check it out at facebook.com/trailofvoices to see who it is that picks us up on the side of the road - and leave us a Like if you enjoy it ;)

I love to travel, meet new people and share culture and cuisine. I'm always up for an adventure and finding new friends around the world - or from around the world. I don't know much about Vancouver yet, so give me a shout if you're passing by and we can explore the city together.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A few summers ago I took a 1400km bike trip in Western Canada as part of a documentary on the oil industry there. We met some truly incredible and generous people and saw some beautiful corners of the country along the way.

A close second: gliding with bald eagles over Vancouver Island on Canada's West Coast. There's nothing like watching the young eagles learn to soar on the mountains (and to figure out if our aircraft was prey or not!)

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe food is one of the best (and easiest) things to share with surfers and hosts alike. It's always a great experience to learn new ways to cook and try different flavours - and everyone's happier on a full stomach!

Also, ever wanted to hitchhike? I'm far from an expert, but would be happy to share what I know and take you on a short trip around.
