ABOUT ME

Happy-go guy in rural Kent.

I'm a friendly, fun guy who just likes to enjoy life. I love meeting new people and while I haven't been very active on CS for the last few years, a change in circumstances means I should be more available again now. Hurrah!

I can be quite English: I like tea and scones and have the silly accent...but wahoo, I don't have bad teeth! (I think!).

I can be quite sporadic - I have run two marathons for CALM (a male mental health charity) despite never running before signing up. One was the arctic circle marathon in Tromso, the other in Paris. I like setting myself a challenge and going for it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd love to get to know people from all over the world...Itravel quite a bit but recently I have begun to feel that I am just following tourist routes and not really getting to know places. I much prefer travelling or visiting places with other people to give me the full picture. It's also great to get to know new people ;0).

I love hearing from people even if they have no current plans to come to the UK...and of course, I'm always up for some random travelling/camping or whatever!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been a member of the site for a while ago now, and we have had amazing hosting and surfing experiences. We've met a fantastic variety of people - and have made some really special friends along the way. I love receiving those CS requests!

Centres d'intérêt

Photography, Art, Film, Outdoors stuff (camping, wildlife, road trips etc), eating...and of course travelling! I'm currently trying to learn a bit of Swedish and would love to hear from anyone who can help get me started!

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I love most types of music...I am addicted to Sigur Ros at the moment, but also like London Grammar, Kate Bush, Zero 7, REM, Orbital, Duran Duran...just a bit of everything! I love Eurovision!

I'm just as diverse when it comes to films...I love Kubrick films...but will happily watch anything (unless it has Jennifer Lopez in it, then I am not so happy!).

I tend to stick to academic books/journals that will probably bore most people!
