About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be the best Spanish teacher this world has ever seen.

ABOUT ME

I love golf, i like Spanish, my students are the greatest in the world, and i love to travel.

I was born and raised in Wisconsin, and a lot of my world revolves around the Green Bay Packers. I hope Brett Favre never retires, and he dies on the frozen turf of Lambeau Field. I am also a Brewers fan, but its harder to brag about that than it the Packer fan thing.

I'm a Spanish teacher, hoorah hoorah!

PHILOSOPHY

Why not?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to the project, and therefore have not had any participation yet. But if anybody ever has the urge to bask in the windy -50 temperatures of Marshall, I am accomodating!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet! I am hoping to have one this spring break, though.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love anything satirical... Chuck Palahniuk is on of my favorites, as is Nikos Kazantzakis. I also don't like to take things too seriously, so i read the Series of Unfortunate Events.

For movies i love all sorts.... comedies, horrors (though senseless bloody carnage is lame), and i love going to the theatre.

Probably the top five movies, in my opinion:
1. the Godfather
2. Finding Nemo
3. Fight club
4. American Beauty
5. Dumb and Dumber

Also Wall-E and Slumdog. They also belong in the top 5. Just trying to find two to drop....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seen a gay-pride parade in Berlin, Dined in the eiffel tower, been kicked out of the Sistene Chapel in the vatican, zip-lined through the canopies of Costa Rica, climbed the great wall, been in a plummeting elevator in Pamplona and again in the Museo del Prado in Madrid, hot-air ballooning over Kapadokya, the list goes on :)

Teach, Learn, Share

When mapping Mars in the night sky over the period of many months, almost an entire year, Mars appears to go backwards for a short while, then goes back the direction it was.

This is because Earth passes it on the inside while orbiting, and from our angle against the backdrop of the stars, it just looks like Mars is going backwards, when really we are just lapping it.
