Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My wife is from Brasil (Recife) and we would like to explore different areas of the country in order to find a location that we would consider living in.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - All eras of Reggae music (the roots of the 70's and 80's up to the new material coming out of the US and Hawaii, New Zealand, Brasil, and the Caribbean)

Movies - The Matrix trilogy.

Books - Various Ayn Rand works (Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead), anything by Murray Rothbard (America's Great Depression, Anatomy of the State, War, Peace, & the State, What Has Government Done to Our Money?), The Divine Matrix by Gregg Braden, Resist Not Evil by Clarence Darrow, and The Chiropractic Green Books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

With the help of my wife we built our first home together. I've also been fortunate enough to have played college and professional baseball. Although I never played in the "big leagues" I'll never forget the first time I was paid to play the game I loved as a kid. Lastly, coming from the U.S. its very easy to get by without learning a 2nd language. However, with my wife's help I've been able to learn a pretty good Portuguese and it has been one of the most rewarding things I've ever done.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good quality conversation and respect.
